Aditya Narayan, an Indian singer, host, and actor, was born on August 6, 1987. Narayan is the son of singer Udit and Deepa Narayan. He announced his engagement to Shweta Agarwal in November 2020, with the wedding set for December of the same year. They married on December 1, 2020, in a small ceremony in Mumbai attended by close friends and family.
In 1992, Narayan’s first playback song was for the Nepalese film Mohini, followed by Rangeela, a Hindi film starring Asha Bhosle. In 1995, he and his father, Udit Narayan, performed a song for Akele Hum Akele Tum.
Narayan performed around 100 songs as a child performer and also published the album, Aditya, through Polygram Music. “Chhota Baccha Jaan Ke,” from the 1996 film Masoom, was his most popular song. In 1997, he received his first major cinema award, the Screen Awards critics’ Best Child Singer. For the same song, Narayan won a special jury award at the Screen Awards as the best kid singer.
Shaapit, directed by Vikram Bhatt and released globally on March 19, 2010, was Narayan’s first film as a lead actor. He performed four songs and wrote and composed the film’s title track, Shaapit Hua.
In the meanwhile, he worked as a TV host, hosting Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009. In 2011, he presented the Sony Entertainment Television reality show X-Factor.
In early 2012, Narayan joined Sanjay Leela Bhansali as an associate director for Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, the producer/next director’s directorial attempt. He also sang the songs “Tattad Tattad” and “Ishqaun Dhishqyaun” for the film.
In 2019, he competed in the ninth season of Colors TV’s iconic stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi, finishing second to Punit Pathak.
Narayan was featured in Tony Kakkar and Neha Kakkar’s song “Goa Beach” in February 2020. Narayan performed “Main Dooba Rahoon” in April. Narayan releases another indie single, “Kyun,” in August. Aditya Narayan was the lead character as well as the associate director and producer of Udit Narayan’s solo song “Tere Bagair” in September.
