Abhishek Bachchan is an Indian film actor, singer and producer. Known for his work in Hindi Cinema. Born on 5 February 1976 in Mumbai Maharashtra.

Bachchan did his schooling from Jamnabai Narsee School and Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai, Modern School, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi.

He also studied in Aiglon College of Switzerland. Further attended Boston University, US.

The Actor attained immense popularity for his role of cop in movie Dhoom and its Sequel.

Abhishek Bachchan is born to famous Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.

His grandfather, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, was a poet of Hindi literature and professor of Allahabad University, Uttar Pradesh.

His grandmother Teji Bachchan was a social worker.

Abhishek married Miss world, actress and model Aishwarya Rai in 2007.

He is a proud father of lovely daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.

In 2000 Bachchan did his debut with J.P Dutta’s war drama Refugee opposite Kareena Kapoor,

Although it did not do well at the box office, the actors received positive reviews for their performance.

His performance in Sooraj R Barjatya’s  Mai Prem Ki Deewani Hoon (2003) earned him first nomination for Filmfare Award For Best Actor in supporting role.

In 2004 he played the role of a Mumbai Police Officer in action thriller Dhoom also starring John Abraham, Uday Chopda, Isha Deol and Rimi Sen.

The film was a huge success.

In 2005 he acted with Rani Mukerji in crime comedy Bunty aur Bubli that was a huge success on the box office and gained him audience appreciation.

Bachchan did a number of successful movies like Sarkar, Dus, Bluffmaster, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna ,Umaro Jaan, Dhoom 2, Dostana, Delhi 6.

Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna a romantic drama co- starring Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherji.

In which he got  third Filmfare Award For Best Supporting Actor.

In 2008 Bachchan acted in Dostana, a romantic comedy with John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra.

The film turned out to be major success on the box office.

In 2009 Bachchan had two consecutive releases named Delhi 6 and Paa. In Paa he played the role of a father it was also produced by Bachchan.

The movie earned him National Film Award for best feature film In hindi for his work as a producer.
